Have you really pondered this question and do you think it is to late to influence yours?
Do you know who you truly are…or even more importantly- do you know who you are not?

How do know if you are in the right relationship, career, or living in the right neighborhood?
How do we free ourselves from our false self, the one that was formed because we tried to fit into a mold of someone else’s belief of who we are?

I didn’t become my true self until I was in my forties. I knew I had been living my life as an imposter and could feel this strange feeling in my gut as I would look in the mirror and think- who are you? When I would hear other people describe me… I would think secretly to myself…”they do not know me at all”. I also felt like I didn’t connect with my peeps , was placed in the wrong neighborhood, and was living someone else’s life- certainly not mine. I just didn’t know what to do about it. You have to make mistakes to find out who you aren’t. You take action…you make adjustments, tweaks here and there and follow your instinct (always your best guide).

Everyone approaches change differently but I decided to take a full halt. I had to start living authentically and find my truth. So one day I hit my life remote control button and began to consciously slow down and started paying attention…really close attention to who I wanted to be- I got really still and quiet so I could hear my inner voice. What legacy did I want to leave? Was I living my greatest and highest purpose? Was I living my best life?

Every single day I would try to figure out something that I could eliminate in my life that was my false self and replace it with something that would take me closer to the new person that I knew I wanted to become. You can change things that you don’t like- you have the power to erase things that no longer serve you. You can say “no” and not feel guilty. I would ask myself this incredibly powerful question “how does this make me feel “? If it didn’t feel 100% right then the answer would be simply “no”. I will no longer waste any of my time or energy on meaningless and valueless activities.

So you know that inside of you is this talented, gifted and confident person ready to break free and reveal themselves to the world. You even know what it takes to bring them out and the only thing holding you back is your commitment, desire, and willingness to take action right now. That is where a coach, mentor, and guide comes in really handy to hold you accountable while filling your tool box with tools, resources, and strategies for success. So “What Is Your Destiny” anyway…have you decided?
