Think about a time you planned a birthday party or some other event in your life. You wrote out a list of everything you needed to do (mini-goals) and you focused on the main goal which was having an amazing party.
One by one you accomplished everything on your list. First you went to the party store and got decorations and then you ordered specials foods or you hired a caterer and went through the entire menu…item by item.
You may have even sampled it ahead of time just to make sure that it would match your expectations. You thought about all of the details and you visualized how everything would unfold. You could actually feel the satisfaction and joy that you would experience beforehand.
Most of us are so busy being busy that we forget that we can use this same process to plan out our lives. If you spent as much time writing and focusing on your goals as you do planning a party or going shopping for the perfect outfit you would be living a glorious life.
So where do you start? You start by breaking down your life into 12 categories…

Use this list of 12 categories to write out your goals in each area. Focus on the areas that you want to improve and one by one begin the process of living your true potential. Soon enough the party you will be planning will be your life.
