How important is it to surround yourself with positive, uplifting and supportive people? On a scale of 1-10… it is a definite 10. You can have good intentions, great ideas, and a big heart but if you are hanging with the “other” crowd (you know the ones…the naysayers, the skeptics, the energy sappers) then you won’t ever reach your full potential.
It is might not seem easy to remove yourself from family, friends, and co-workers but it is necessary to take your life to the next level. See in order to evolve and grow it is important to be with like minded people who have the same hope and desires.
How do you know if you are with “your tribe” ? If you feel empowered, inspired, and supported then the answer is yes and if not…well then you already know what you have to do. Don’t get me wrong, you can still love and support the “other group” but just know that you may have to limit the amount of time you spend with them. Sometimes you have to “empty your elevator” in order to make room for new people to get in.
Oh…and by the way…you might spend sometime alone for awhile before the “right tribe” shows up. During my own transition my cell phone stopped ringing (Yay!) and the party invitations dried right up (thank goodness!) …I really enjoyed the peace and quiet which allowed time for my soul to reshape and evolve.
As you wind down 2010 and roll into the new year…are you surrounded by YOUR tribe? Are you comfortable and at home with your peeps? Perhaps now is the time to empty out your elevator…
Love, LIght and Laughter,
Wendi
