Ever have one of those “off” days when things just are in a complete a total funk? How do you find your groove and get back on track?
How do you shake off the blues? First and foremost, know that EVERYONE has these days. Yes, even the happiest people find themselves experiencing a humdrum day where they just can’t shake this feeling. Feelings of doubt, fear, frustration, and loneliness start to creep in and you question yourself. Am I good enough? Am I making the right decisions?
The moment you feel it coming on…It is time to TAKE ACTION. Let’s say you get off the phone with a friend or colleague and you feel “blah” or “upset”. Immediately, stop what you are doing and RE-ADJUST your mindset by saying an affirmation or sitting in silence releasing and letting go of that feeling. Assign the feeling to something you can visualize like a balloon or kite and simply watch as you let it go into the air and float AWAY.
Learning techniques that work when these feeling sneak up on you is critical. Don’t wait until it is raining outside to fix your roof.
