Here’s the truth!
You can be the world’s best Coach & Speaker, but if enough people don’t know you and how amazing you are, chances are, you’ll keep struggling to stand out and expand your impact.
You need to put yourself out there, build genuine relationships and become a part of the conversations in order to create true wealth.
And what better way to do that than networking!
No matter what today’s up & coming “marketing gurus” say, networking is your secret wealth. Period.
Today, I’m going to share my 5-step formula to wealth through networking.
Without further ado, here it is:
STEP 1: WHO DO YOU KNOW?
Take inventory and see who you currently know. because as they say, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. These people can affect different areas of your life; Health. Wealth. Love. Happiness. Make a list and then start nurturing your relationship with these people.
STEP 2: DREAM 100 LIST
I first learned about the Dream 100 from Russell Brunson. It’s basically a collection of 100 people of influence (i.e., influencers) that you’d like to work with. These 100 experts share your vision and wouldn’t mind communicating that with their audience.
Here’s how it works! Create 4 separate lists, each with 25 dream members:
- Authors and Bloggers
- Social Media Personalities
- Business Owners/List Owners
- Podcasters
Once you’ve created your list, start building a relationship with the people on your list. Easy-peasy.
STEP 3: STAND OUT TO YOUR DREAM 100 LIST
After creating your Dream 100 List, the next step is to stand out to them. Here are 5 ways to get their attention:
- Find their social media accounts and engage on their content – Comment. Share. Get seen.
- Buy their program. Once someone buys from you – you become their customer, their tribe. And they are more than happy to help you in different ways. This is the law of reciprocity. For example, you can buy 10 books from an author on your dream 100 list and ask them to sign them.
- Write them a testimonial – on LinkedIn or Google. It will touch their heart and get you seen as well.
- Do a recap of their message and give them a shout out on social media. Buy their book and post a photo of you WITH their product. A beautiful way to show your appreciation while also getting noticed.
- Go to their conference and meet them in-person (if you can). There’s magic in in-person interactions – people remember you for a long time!
STEP 4: BE OF SERVICE
Meet new people, have conversations. Serve. Ask how you can help them. Be the giver, as my friend Bob Burg from The Go Giver Book series says. And no, this doesn’t mean spamming people, sending canned messages or always talking about YOU. Instead, be genuinely curious and see how you can develop a mutually beneficial relationship.
STEP 5: GET ON STAGES
Host your own events and get your stages – virtual and live. Become a recognizable name in your industry. When people will learn about you, they would want to know more about your offers and how you can help them.
